



The Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, on Tuesday joined three Municipal Chief Executives to commission a newly constructed multi-purpose Astroturf and tennis court at Aboabo Middle ‘B’. and Hilander park.
He was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Ben Abdullah Alhassan, the Municipal Chief Executive for Oforikrom, Anwel Sadat, and the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa.
The commissioning ceremony brought together community leaders, youth groups, opinion leaders, and residents who gathered to witness the official opening of the modern sports facility.
In his address, Hon. Muntaka emphasized the importance of investing in sports infrastructure to promote youth development, discipline, and healthy lifestyles. He noted that the Astroturf and tennis court will serve as a hub for nurturing young talents in football and other sporting activities, while also providing a safe recreational space for the community.

According to him, sports play a vital role in shaping the future of young people by keeping them engaged in positive activities and away from social vices.
He assured constituents of his continued commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the well-being of residents in Asawase.
The Municipal Chief Executives also commended the project, describing it as a significant boost to grassroots sports development within their respective municipalities.

They encouraged the youth to make good use of the facility and maintain it properly to ensure its longevity.
Residents of Aboabo Middle ‘B’ expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that the new sports complex will not only enhance recreational opportunities but also strengthen unity and community engagement in the area.
