Accra, July 13, 2025 — In a bid to promote transparency and public accountability, the Presidency Communications Office has announced the launch of a new initiative, the Government Accountability Series, set to commence on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The series will provide a platform for key ministers to present mid-year updates on their respective sectors, giving citizens the chance to evaluate the government’s performance over the past six months.
According to the Presidency, briefings will be held three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—at 11:00 a.m. The Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, will headline the inaugural session, addressing national issues related to internal security, immigration, and public safety.
The initiative is designed to foster open dialogue between government officials and the public, while also keeping Ghanaians informed on the nation’s progress, challenges, and planned interventions.
More ministers are expected to appear in the coming weeks to present comprehensive sectoral reports as part of the ongoing series.
