Accra, Ghana – Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is set to announce his squad this week for Ghana’s decisive final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The four-time African champions, who currently sit top of Group I with 19 points, are on the brink of securing their place at next year’s global showpiece in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Ghana needs just one win from their remaining two fixtures to seal qualification.
The Black Stars will open their campaign away to the Central African Republic at the Al Abdi Stadium in El Jadida on Wednesday, October 8. The team is expected to assemble in Accra before traveling to Casablanca ahead of the clash.
Otto Addo’s men will then return home to wrap up the qualifiers against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.
Following the disappointment of missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the technical team faces mounting pressure to deliver a strong squad capable of restoring national pride by securing a World Cup spot
