Abdul Razak Issaka Ali, Chief Commercial & Operations Officer of MobileMoney LTD,

MobileMoney LTD has launched a nationwide Trust Campaign dubbed “Shine Your Eye” to combat the rising incidents of MoMo-related fraud and to reaffirm its commitment to customer safety and trust.

The “Shine Your Eye” campaign is designed to promote vigilance among customers while educating them on how to safeguard their funds from fraudsters. It also seeks to reassure customers that MoMo remains a safe, secure, and convenient platform for financial transactions.

As part of the initiative, MobileMoney LTD is highlighting key safety features introduced on the platform, including biometric login, easy PIN reset, self-initiated reversals, and a dedicated fraud support team.

To ensure maximum impact, the campaign is being rolled out through multiple engagement channels, including TV, radio, print, online platforms, and social media. Additionally, MobileMoney LTD is taking the campaign directly to the communities through street activations, markets, and transport terminals, using the catchphrase “Shine Your Eye” to emphasize vigilance. These engagements include drama skits, music, dance, and other interactive educational activities.

Speaking at the launch, Abdul Razak Issaka Ali, Chief Commercial & Operations Officer of MobileMoney LTD, stressed that customer trust is central to the company’s mission of driving financial inclusion.

“At the heart of our business is customer trust. This campaign is about giving our customers peace of mind — that MoMo is not only convenient but also safe.

We are engaging them directly, listening to their concerns, and speaking in a language they understand and can relate to. At the same time, we are working closely with security agencies to clamp down on fraudsters and their activities.”

Mr. Ali further cautioned customers against fraudulent practices, reminding them never to share their MoMo PIN or One Time Password (OTP) with anyone, including individuals posing as MoMo or MTN staff.

He also advised customers not to allow third parties to perform transactions on their behalf or respond to suspicious calls, text messages, or links about fake promotions.

Customers are encouraged to report any suspected fraud to MobileMoney LTD via email (mmfraudteam@mtn.com), the MoMo App, or by dialing 100. Over the years, such reports have helped blacklist several fraudulent numbers and agents.

The “Shine Your Eye” campaign underscores MobileMoney LTD’s resolve to empower customers with knowledge, strengthen trust, and ensure a secure mobile money ecosystem for all.
