Ejisu Senior High Technical School has officially launched its 35th Anniversary celebration under the theme, “Celebrating 35 Years of Holistic Secondary and Technical Education: The Role of Stakeholders.”
The colourful launch event brought together management, students, alumni, parents and other key stakeholders to mark over three decades of academic excellence and skills development.
Delivering a keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer of Peace and Love Hospitals and Founder of Breast Care International, Dr Mrs Beatrice Wiafe Addai, said the celebration goes beyond marking the passage of time.
According to her, the anniversary is a celebration of 35 years of shaping minds, building skills and transforming lives.
“From humble beginnings, this school has grown into a centre of excellence, producing professionals, entrepreneurs and responsible citizens who are contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s development,” she stated.
Dr. Wiafe Addai emphasized that the school’s success story was made possible through the collective efforts of stakeholders.
“It happened because stakeholders played their roles. Teachers gave their knowledge and dedication. Parents gave their trust and support. Government provided the foundation, and alumni carried the name and legacy of this school with pride,” she said.
She noted that the anniversary theme serves as a reminder that the future of the school depends on the continued commitment and collaboration of all stakeholders.
“As we launch this anniversary, we must also launch a new vision for the future,” she added. To commemorate the milestone,
Dr. Wiafe Addai proposed several key legacy projects. These include the establishment of a 35th Anniversary Infrastructure Project, the introduction of a 35th Anniversary Scholarship Scheme to support brilliant but needy students, the construction and equipping of a modern Technical and ICT Laboratory to prepare students for today’s digital and industrial world, and the creation of an Alumni Endowment Fund to ensure sustainable support for future generations.
She stressed that such initiatives would not only celebrate the school’s past achievements but also secure its future.
“Education today must go beyond certificates. It must produce problem-solvers, innovators and job creators,” she noted.
Dr. Wiafe Addai expressed confidence that the school has the potential to become one of the leading technical institutions in Ghana, but said this would require investment, commitment and unity.
She therefore called on alumni, corporate bodies, parents and all friends of the institution to rally behind the proposed legacy projects.
“Let us not only celebrate 35 years, but let us build a stronger future for the next generation,” she urged.
