The Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene together with the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejura Sekyedumase Hon Rafiu Adam Seidu have joined hands with traditional leaders to cut sod for commencement of the the 24hour economy market at Ejura in the Ashanti region.
The project is said to be a transformative initiative which is likely to boost economic activities in the municipality .
It is one of government’s flagship programs aimed at creating jobs and improving livelihood across the country.
At a short ceremony for the ground braking, the Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene reiterated government’s commitment to fulfill all social contracts signed with the people of Ghana and that one of such promises is the 24hour economy market.
The Minister enumerated the huge benefits that come with the project. “We have facilities such as bank, police post ,creche, fire station slaughter house and many more within the market and all these bring job opportunities ” he added.
Dr Amoakohene as a result assured the people of government’s preparedness to recruit more of the youth to man the various positions upon completion of the project.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Ejura Sekyedumase Hon Rafiu Adam Seidu touted his achievements for the area within one year of assumption of office.



This he said include health facilities , classroom blocks, security, water and sanitation, electrification projects among other things. He assured the people of more development projects in the municipality in order to better their lot.
Meanwhile The MCE lead the Regional Minister and traditional rulers to commission electrification projects to connect 16 communities within the municipality to the national grid
The leaders also inspected a vast land donated to the Assembly by the Ejura Traditional Council for the purpose of establishing a farmers service center.
