The President, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has  visited the scene of fire outbreak to assess the damage and engage with affected traders, pledging government support to those impacted by the disaster.

He  advised traders to avoid cooking and using gas cylinders within market premises to mitigate fire risks.

He further assured that a full report on the fire will determine appropriate measures, including restructuring the market to prevent future incidents.

He was welcomed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, who had earlier toured the affected area.
