Chaplain for the Kumasi diocese of the Association of Methodist church Choirs (GHAMECC ) Rev James Kwasi Annan has stated that it is a duty as choristers to evangelize through our song ministration to win more souls into God’s kingdom. He was of the view that it would be unfair for them to always stay indoors for the benefit of only the congregation. “it is time to extend our ‘Robe to town’ to win souls for Christ” He added.
He urged all choristers and other gospel musicians to always make sure they sing in a manner that could transform the lives of others.
” To live like Christ is to embody love, humility, and service, mirroring his actions and teachings. This includes acts of kindness, forgiveness, selflessness, particularly toward those in need and also refrain from indecent dressing for others to emulate because we are the light of the world” He added.
Rev Annan made the call in an interview with GHnewsday during “Robe Must go to Town” concert organized by the diocesan Lay Movement Council in collaboration with the Association of Methodist church Choirs ( GHAMECC) at Mamponteng in Pakrono Circuit.
He further called on all choristers to remain in unity and steadfast in order to fulfil the purpose of God and rescue the perishing souls through their music.
