The Founder and Leader of Akwasi Donkor Outreach Ministries (ADOM) and an evangelist at Calvary Methodist Church, Amakom–Kumasi, Evangelist Dr. Akwasi Donkor, popularly known as Awurade Akoa, has encouraged Christians, especially Calvary congregation, not to hesitate or live in fear, assuring them that God is always with them.
According to him, although the devil may fight against believers, victory is assured when God is on their side. He stressed that with faith in God, every challenge and attack of the enemy can be overcome.
Evangelist Dr. Akwasi Donkor made these remarks while preaching at Calvary Methodist Church, Amakom, Kumasi, on the theme “Do Not Be Afraid.” His sermon was drawn from 2 Kings 19:14–19, with particular emphasis on verse 19, which says:
“Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.”
He explained that the scripture reminds believers of God’s supreme power and His ability to deliver His people from every form of danger.
He further assured the congregation that no evil intended against their lives or homes would succeed.
The evangelist also highlighted the Methodist Church’s theme for the year 2026, “Walking in the Word: Equipped for Every Good Work,” taken from 2 Timothy 3:16–17. He noted that although believers may encounter bad news and difficult situations, those who walk in the Lord will always experience His deliverance.
He therefore urged Christians to remain steadfast, live according to God’s Word, and walk closely with Him, assuring them that God’s presence guarantees protection, strength, and victory in all circumstances.
