Shaibu Haruna CEO Mobile Money Fintech Ltd

MobileMoney Fintech LTD has initiated routine verification checks on its MoMo Agent platform as part of sustained efforts to enhance security and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The exercise has led to temporary restrictions on some agent accounts, depending on the severity of identified infractions.

Agents found with minor breaches will receive warnings, those with moderate violations will face temporary suspensions, while accounts linked to serious misconduct will be permanently terminated.

The company has already begun engaging affected agents and, in appropriate cases, has restored access to accounts while further investigations are ongoing.

According to MobileMoney Fintech LTD, the ongoing checks are critical to safeguarding customers, protecting the integrity of the MoMo Agent platform, and reinforcing trust across the network.

Agents have been urged to strictly adhere to approved operational guidelines and comply with all regulatory requirements.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to continuous engagement with agents and key stakeholders to build a resilient, efficient, and sustainable mobile money ecosystem.

MobileMoney Fintech LTD emphasized that it remains dedicated to advancing Ghana’s digital transformation through strategic collaboration, while creating growth opportunities for individuals, businesses, and communities.

Its mission is to deliver seamless digital and financial solutions that empower users and drive inclusive economic progress.
