Accra, Ghana, September 19, 2025

MobileMoney Ltd (MML) has officially launched its “Me Nsa Aka” consumer promotion, a major customer reward campaign designed to celebrate loyalty and deepen the adoption of the MoMo app for everyday transactions.

The three-month promo, which runs from September 15 to December 15, 2025, will see customers win their share of GHS2 million in cash and other exciting prizes.

How to Qualify

To participate, customers must perform eligible transactions through the MoMo app. These include:

Peer-to-peer transfers on MoMo and across other networks

QR and MoMo Pay transactions

Payments on aggregator platforms

Airtime and data purchases

Utility bill and TV subscription payments

Investments, insurance, and savings

Customers who spend a minimum of GHS101 in a day qualify for the daily draws. Spending GHS300 in a week or GHS1,000 in a month qualifies them for the weekly and monthly draws respectively.

Rewards Structure

Daily Draws: Thousands of customers stand the chance to win GHS100 or GHS200 in e-cash, as well as Y’ello Biz Routers.

Weekly Draws: Winners can take home GHS500, GHS1,000, or GHS2,000 in e-cash.

Monthly Draws: Customers can win GHS3,000 or GHS5,000 cash prizes.

Grand Finale: The top five customers will win between GHS10,000 and GHS100,000, with the ultimate prize of GHS100,000 awarded to the customer with the highest transaction value during the promo period.

Stakeholder Remarks

Speaking at the launch, Rev. Dr. Isaac Obeng, Senior Manager, Sales Analytics & Decision Support at MTN Sales & Distribution, said:

> “Today marks the beginning of another exciting chapter in the MoMo journey, one that allows us to celebrate our customers, recognize their loyalty, and invite many more people to experience the endless possibilities that come with using the MoMo app.”

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Charles Asamoah Assah, Chief Technology & Service Delivery Officer at MML, emphasized that the promo is themed “One MoMo App, Endless Rewards” and aims to strengthen customer trust and drive traffic to partner platforms.

> “The ‘Me Nsa Aka’ promo is about building trust, deepening partnerships in the Fintech ecosystem, and creating opportunities that touch lives in very real ways.”

Mr. Abdul-Majeed Rufai, Senior Manager, Fintech Channels at MML, cautioned customers against fraudsters who may attempt to exploit the promo:

> “The only official number MTN will ever use to contact winners is 0244300000. Customers must remain vigilant and ignore any suspicious calls or messages claiming otherwise.”

Ms. Priscilla Akuamoah, NLA Accounts Manager for MTN/MML, reaffirmed the National Lottery Authority’s (NLA) oversight role in ensuring transparency and fairness.

She noted that all processes have been audited and verified, with proceeds from such initiatives supporting social impact projects through the NLA’s Good Causes Foundation.

Call to Action

With thousands of prizes available daily, weekly, and monthly, the “Me Nsa Aka” promo is one of the biggest reward campaigns yet. MML encourages all customers to download the MoMo app, perform transactions, and stand a chance to win big.

The media launch brought together fintech partners, MoMo Agents Associations, Payment Service Providers, members of the MobileMoney Advocacy Group, and the press.
