MTN Ghana, a leading telecommunications company in the country, has held its 2025 Annual Editors and Stakeholders Forum at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi.

The Editors’ Forum, which has become an annual flagship event, serves as a platform for members of the media and key stakeholders to gain deeper insights into the company’s operations, strategies, and contributions to national development.

The 2025 edition brought together representatives from more than 40 media organizations alongside MTN’s senior management team.

The forum also provided a platform for open dialogue between MTN’s management and members of the media, fostering collaboration towards improved service delivery and stronger stakeholder partnerships.

Addressing participants, MTN Ghana’s Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Madam Adwoa Wiafe, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to boosting Ghana’s business and economic growth.

She highlighted MTN’s ongoing efforts to transform businesses and improve individual livelihoods through digital and financial inclusion.

“These initiatives demonstrate MTN Ghana’s commitment to supporting the growth of enterprises while contributing significantly to the country’s economic development,” she said.

She further stressed that MTN remains committed to giving back to society through social infrastructure projects while consistently fulfilling its tax obligations—an act that underscores its role as a responsible corporate citizen.

On his part, the Ashanti Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Dickson Amoung-Yan, announced that MTN Ghana is investing $245 million in 2025 to enhance its network infrastructure and IT systems nationwide.

Adding MTN is extending coverage to 14 new sites across the Ashanti Region to meet the rising demand for reliable connectivity in fast-developing settlements.

Mr. Amoung-Yan disclosed that 1,328 kilometers of resilient fibre infrastructure have already been deployed in the region. This, he noted, is improving network stability, reducing latency, and supporting higher data throughput in both rural and urban areas.

He stressed that MTN is allocating targeted resources to address service performance challenges and enhance customer experience.

These investments, he said, align with MTN Ghana’s broader strategy of driving digital transformation while future-proofing its infrastructure against surging data consumption.

The event was organized by MTN Ghana’s Corporate Communications Department, led by its Senior Manager, Mrs. Georgina Asare Fiagbenu.
