Dr Gideon Boako
The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr Gideon Boako, has unveiled plans to reconstruct the Yamfo Market as part of a broader effort to improve trading conditions and accelerate development within the constituency.
The announcement was made during a courtesy visit to chiefs and elders at the Yamfo Palace, where the MP also engaged with market women and local traders.
Dr Boako described the occasion as a significant milestone in his tenure, noting that he sought the blessings and guidance of traditional authorities before formally presenting the initiative.
He expressed appreciation for the warm reception he received and emphasised that the project represents a major step toward improving the livelihoods of traders and residents in the area.
According to the MP, the reconstruction will transform the existing market into a modern, safe, and well-organised trading hub that meets the needs of traders and customers alike.
He explained that the current condition of the market requires urgent intervention, particularly to address sanitation challenges and create a more conducive environment for commercial activities.
Dr Boako added that work on the project is expected to commence soon and will contribute to enhanced business operations, improved hygiene standards, and overall economic growth in the constituency.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Tano North, the MP pledged to continue championing initiatives that uplift livelihoods and strengthen the local economy.
He noted that his focus remains on delivering accelerated development and meaningful opportunities for constituents while working toward long-term progress for the area.
