Bridge Joining Mampong, Sataso Ejura road finally collapses

A major bridge connecting Asante Mampong and Sataso in the Mampong Municipality has finally collapsed this morning, leaving residents, drivers and passengers stranded.

The Sataso Bridge is a vital link for commuters and transport between Asante Mampong and Sataso serves as the main route connecting communities like Ejura, Atebubu, and Yeji.

The bridge, which had been in a deteriorating condition for months, finally gave way, causing significant disruptions. This has been a death road, causing accidents and deaths within this territory.

Some of the residents and other users of the road been interview by ghnrewsday reporter expressed worried about the situation. They further explained that the bridge had been in a poor state for over a years but the authorities have turn deaf ear.

” We have complained to authorities on several occasions and yet we are not seeing any good results. Just a week it has totally collapsed.” they added.

They called on the authorities to fix the collapse bridge immediately to avoid any inconveniences.
