The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has formally informed Nananom of the Kumasi Traditional Council about his scheduled trip to Accra next week.
This was during a Kumasi Traditional Council meeting on December 11, 2025.
His Majesty noted that the visit was in connection with his mediation role in the protracted Bawku Conflict.
In his absence, Asantehene assigned oversight of Kumasi to Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, Bantamahene.
His Majesty will leave on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and return the next day.
Otumfuo will visit the Jubilee House to present a report on his mediation in the protracted Bawku conflict to President John Dramani Mahama.
