In a recent gathering at the Akim Abenase Community Palace, Nana Kwame Sakyi Ababio II, the revered chief of Abotakyi Akuapem has emphasized the crucial role of leadership in fostering community development.
Addressing local residents of Akim Essam in Abenase Chief Palace and dignitaries, he stated, “A community without a leader is visionless.” His remarks came during a ceremony to enstooll Chief and Queen of Akim Essam.
Nana Sakyi Ababio II highlighted that effective leadership is essential for guiding communities toward sustainable progress. He urged community members to actively participate in decision-making processes and support their leaders in implementing transformative projects.
Additionally, Nana Kwame Sakyi Ababio II emphasised that when they work together, it can create a brighter future for their children and generations to come.
Abotakyi hene added, be the leader of vision so that your sub-chiefs of Essam will rally behind you for the empowerment of young people within the community.
Moreover, he stressed on the need to initiate programmes that seeks to cultivate a new generation of leaders who can address the challenges facing Akim Essam.
Concluding his remarks during the gathering, he called for unity, and the newly enstooled chief for Akim Essam Nana Kwame Sackey expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with the community and his sun-chiefs towards a shared vision for a better future.
