
The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of the Queenmother of Abamba, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, near Amantin in the Atebubu area.
According to a press release issued by the Command, the arrests were made through an intelligence-led operation aimed at tracking down those responsible for the tragic incident.
The suspects have been identified as Rafiu Haruna, Mufawu Adamu and Michael Owusu Spermi. They are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
Reports indicate that Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan was shot at her residence around the Methodist Church area in Atebubu on February 25, 2026.
The police statement further noted that efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals who may have been involved in the crime.
The Bono East Regional Police Command assured the public that investigations are still active and that all persons connected to the killing will be brought to justice.
