
A four-storey building has collapsed at Accra New Town, near GCB Bank, leaving several people feared trapped beneath the rubble.
The incident occurred along the stretch from Nkrumah Circle through New Town, just beyond the bank. The structure, believed to be a school, reportedly gave way under circumstances that are yet to be determined.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Headquarters have been deployed to the scene and are currently leading search and rescue operations to save those trapped.
Eyewitnesses say the building collapsed suddenly, causing panic in the area as residents and passersby rushed to offer assistance before emergency responders arrived.
