FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana expresses its deep disappointment and shock at the conduct of the Chief Director, Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), regarding the upcoming launch of the Nkoko Nketekete program.
We are appalled that the Chief Director, who is aware of the constitutional provisions and the structures of MoFA, has deliberately chosen to ignore the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) and other key stakeholders in the launch of this program. This is a clear breach of the Constitution of Ghana, which guarantees GNAFF’s participation in national programs and policies related to agriculture.
We demand that the Chief Director answers questions regarding the exclusion of GNAFF and other stakeholders from this program. We also call on the authorities to review this decision and ensure that the structures of MoFA are respected.
Furthermore, we request that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament investigates the financial dealings of the Ministry, particularly with regards to programs initiated by past governments.
The Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana will not stand idly by while the rights of farmers are trampled upon. We will continue to advocate for transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in the agricultural sector.
Signed,
President
